Chris McLean, Acting Administrator, USDA Rural Utilities Service will provide updates on programs and opportunities supporting carbon-reduction and storage activities.

Advancing CCS Projects in the Gulf (11:35 - 11:50 CT)

GC3 member, Talos Energy, will present a high level overview of current CCS project activities in the Gulf of Mexico.

Mark Ackiewicz, Director for the Division of Carbon Capture and Storage (​CCS) Research and Development (R&D) will provide updates on programs and activities supporting carbon storage activities in the US.

Working Group Updates (12:50 - 1:15 CT)
Working group chairs will report on working group progress made during Q1 2021, including the newly formed Hydrogen working group.

Breakout Discussion: Cross-sectional Topics (1:15 - 1:45CT)
Attendees will self-select breakout sessions for continued discussion on topics such as: modernization of legal definitions related to carbon credits, opportunities to advance carbon-related activities through government programs and geologic storage in the Gulf.
