Members of the Gulf Coast Carbon Collaborative and invited guests are meeting on July 17, 2020 on Zoom Video Conference for the group’s second quarterly working meeting.
This upcoming working meeting will include status updates from GC3 working group chairs focused on CCUS, electrification, land-based sequestration, and low-emissions generation technology. Following these status updates, working groups will meet in breakout sessions to continue the discussion.
Welcome, Working Group Status Updates, Carbon Markets (10:00am to 12:00pm)
Working group chairs will report on progress made since the last meeting and share a high-level overview of where the work is headed. C2ES will present on the state of US carbon markets and recent news from the federal and state governments.
Breakout Sessions (12:30pm to 1:30pm)
Working groups will convene in Zoom breakout rooms for guided discussions, giving participants the opportunity to dive deeper and collaborate on actions identified by each group. Working groups include:
Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage
Electrification
Land-based Sequestration
Low Emission Generation Technology
Report Out (1:45pm to 2:00pm)
In mid-afternoon, the full group will reconvene to report out on findings and insights from the day as well as determine next steps for participation going forward.
